Whether you are throwing, hand building or sculpting, the pattern on Metzler Tools PD-4 give an oval pebble texture when used on clay.
These paddles are a great way to shape and texture clay. In addition to the unique detailed texture, the back side of each paddle is flat and smooth- great for shaping and contouring the clay before texture is added.
All edges and corners are nicely rounded over to prevent unwanted markings when in use. They have great weight, feel good in the hand, and can really leave a mark!
All Metzler Tools are made by hand, in-house at a facility in Atlanta, GA from locally-sourced 3/4" cherry hardwood. The tools are finished with a light oil to protect the wood.
