P-65 Sienna Frost is a fluid, orange-tan with iridescent mottling where thick.
Bring subtle shimmer and dynamic movement to your work with this new collection of Cone 5/6 glazes. Pearlescent glazes are shimmery mattes with movement. These fluid satin glazes create a pearly sheen with subtle micro-crystalline effects that add depth and dimension to your work. Completely intermixable, they offer endless possibilities for custom colors and effects—and can be layered with other AMACO Cone 5/6 glazes, including the Potter’s Choice series, to create even more surface variation.
This glaze is food safe and has been tested for lead and cadmium release in accordance with ASTM C738-94.
Shake well before use. For best results, do not thin the glaze; apply 3 coats with a brush to Cone 04 bisque. (Let the glaze dry between coats.) Glaze fire to Cone 5-6. If you apply the glaze heavily, 2 coats will also work. Under-application will result in a dry glaze with no crystals. Over-application will cause a rough appearance.
Due to variations in raw materials used during manufacturing, we recommend firing glazed test tiles before using each new batch of glaze.
