This 1/4" is used to help with smaller lips and shallower angles of lips. Spacers are used to place under formed piece to put rim at an angle to avoid rim from flopping/slumping in firing. Check out tutorial videos on our Facebook or YouTube sites for more information.
Standard 1/2" Spacer is the original spacer.
